「プーマ（PUMA）」が、「わたしのための厚底」をコンセプトに新たに開発した女性用ランニングシューズ「ラン ダブルエックス ニトロ ウィメンズ（RUN XX NITRO WNS）」を4月13日から順次発売している。価格は税込1万4300円。販路は、原宿キャットストリート店や大阪店、お台場店、富士見店、京都店、サッポロファクトリー店、福岡店、公式オンラインストアなど。

「ラン ダブルエックス ニトロ ウィメンズ」は、女性特有のDNA配列である2本のX染色体にちなんで名付けられた。アッパーには軽量のモノメッシュを用い、昼夜問わずいつでも走れるように反射素材を搭載。ミッドソールには、高い反発性とソフトなクッション性が特徴のプーマ独自のフォームテクノロジー「ニトロ フォーム（NITRO FOAM）」を採用したほか、長距離走行時の安定性を向上させるためにヒールからアウトソールまで伸びた「ランガイド（RUNGUIDE）」をデザインした。また、キャンペーンムービーにはフィットネスプロデューサーのAYAを起用した。
