「アジア」をテーマにした写真媒体「asia」の創刊号が11月8日に発売される。
ADVERTISING
asiaは、編集長と発行人を上岡巧、アートディレクションとデザインをリ・モハン（Menghan Li）が担当し、年に1回パリで刊行。全編をフォトグラファーがアジア各地で撮影した写真で構成し、そこに生きる人々の視点と旅人や移住者のまなざしを交差させながらアジアのイメージを多層的に反映することで、アジアの視覚的アーカイヴとしての価値付けを目指すという。
創刊号には世界各地で活躍する10人の写真家が参加。マーティン・パー（Martin Parr）やアレック・ソス（Alec Soth）、ナイジェル・シャフラン（Nigel Shafran）、リュウ・イカ（Ryu Ika）、河野幸人（Yukihito Kono）らが、日本や韓国、中国、モンゴルなどを舞台に撮影した作品を収録した。価格は6000円。12月18日にはローンチパーティーが北参道の25hours / service.で開催される予定だ。
