「Common Feature（共通点）」
今回の作品では、1杯の水の美しさとエレガンス、飾り気のなさに焦点を当てました。
それぞれのヴィジュアルはすべて、シンプルな水のグラスの写実性という共通点を軸に展開しています。
そして絵画のような作品に表現された水のグラスは、「je ne sais quoi（何とも言えない魅力）」を与え、美しく穏やかな要素に昇華させました。

インスピレーションは、Carla E. Reyesの作品から得ました。
彼女を見つけた瞬間、その構成や形、使っている布など、独特な世界がとても興味深く感じられました。
それ以来、スタイリストのAlbaと私でアイデアを練り始めたのです。

Pol Pintóのスタジオに入った瞬間、ここが私たちが手がけるエディトリアルに最適な場所だと思いました。
大きな窓のある開放的な空間。
どこを切り取っても、物体が目に飛び込んできます。
興味深い要素がたくさんあったので、迷わずこの場所を選びました。

さらに、CarlaとPolの作品には共通項があります。
小さな共通点がすべてを繋ぎ合わせた結果、私が取り組んでいるイメージのコンセプトと完璧に一致したのです。

In this editorial, I’ve focused on the beauty, elegance and simplicity of a glass of water.
All the editorial revolves around the same point, the rigorous realism of a simple glass of water.
The representation of the glasses of water on the pictorial works gives “je ne sais quoi” feels which turns them into a beautiful and serene element.

I got the inspiration from Carla E. Reyes’ work.
From the moment I discovered her, I found her universe very interesting which include the constructions, shapes and the fabric she uses.
From that point onwards, Alba, the stylist and I started to develop the idea.

The moment I entered Pol Pintó’s studio, I immediately knew that that was the perfect spot for the editorial we were working on.
It was an open space with huge windows.
You could find matter in every corner.
There were so many interesting elements that made me pick this place without hesitation.

Furthermore, there is a common thread between Carla and Pol’s work.
The small resemblances glued everything together made perfect sense to the pictorial concept I was working on.

Alba Monfort：
バルセロナを拠点に活動するスタイリスト。
ファッションを学んだ後にファッションスタイリングの修士号を取得し、現在はキャンペーン、エディトリアル、広告、ビデオクリップなどでアシスタントとして活躍している。
また、ファッション業界で活躍する新進気鋭のフォトグラファーとコラボレーションしたエディトリアルにも取り組んでいる。

A stylist based in Barcelona.
After studying fashion, she did a master's degree in fashion styling which led her to currently work as a fashion assistant for campaigns, editorials, advertising and video clips.
She is also working on editorials which is a collaboration with emerging photographers in the fashion industry.
