セレクトショップ「ライラ トウキョウ（LAILA TOKIO）」が、建物の老朽化に伴う取り壊しおよび閉店を発表した。店舗の最終営業日は6月2日を予定しているという。

同店は、2013年7月26日に東京・渋谷に開業。空き家となり荒れ果てた状態だった、昭和中期建築の画家の住まいであった日本家屋の立地やデザインに惚れ込んだライラ トウキョウ創設者が、ショップとして生まれ変わらせた。アーティスト 木村浩一のデザインによってフルリノベーションした店舗は、既存の梁や柱をいかし、8000個のピラミッドピースや1トンを超える強化ガラスやコンクリートで再構築された真っ白な空間が特徴。これまで「メゾン マルタン マルジェラ（Maison Martin Margiela）」や「ヘルムート ラング（HELMUT LANG）」「ブレス（BLESS）」など、多くのブランドの貴重なアーカイヴピースや新作を集めた展示などを開催してきた。
閉店後の予定は未定だが、今後も後世に素晴らしいものを伝える役目を担うべく、様々なプロジェクトを計画しているという。なお、公式オンラインストアの「LAILA TOKIO ONLINE」は引き続き営業を継続するとしている。
