「Real Me（本当の私）」
これは、想像に対する現実の結果。
鏡の中の自分を見るたびに、心が虚無に陥る状態を表現しています。

これは現実？私は想像しているの？
醜い。美しい。小さい。大きい。しわしわだ。
そんなはずがない。
もっと高く。もっと小さく。トーンアップして。ひどい。隠して。変えて。
もう十分だ。

テーマとなるのは、鏡に映っているのが現実なのか、それとも誤解された別のイメージなのかという現在進行中の内なる闘いです。
私たちは絶え間なく自己判断を行うことで、自己概念を歪めてしまいます。

またこの作品は、あなたがどう感じ、自分の身体がどう見えるのかについて絶え間ない不満を呼び起こします。
それは、自分が見ているものは現実なのか、あるいは心によって生み出されたものなのかさえ分からなくしてしまうものです。

私たちは、どのように見られたいかや、極限まで誇張された最も大きな不安と、どのように見えるか分析しない「本当の自分」を組み合わせました。

スタイリストのSofiaが探究するコンブチャレザーの開発は、「セルフ・カニバリズム」のメタファーとして機能します。

私たちが自分の外見について話す時に適用する自己判断と、周囲から受ける判断は、内側から自身を破壊する不健康な行動を促進してしまう可能性があります。
そして心や身体と同じように、コンブチャレザーも適切なケアや処置がなければ簡単にダメージを受けてしまいます。

病気が私たちを内側から蝕み、私たちがそれを放置すること。
それは、身体と個人の自己概念を破壊するセルフ・カニバリズムの一形態なのです。

This is the result of reality against imagination.
It represents the limbo my mind generates whenever I see myself in the mirror.

Is it real? Am I imagining?

That’s ugly. That’s beautiful. That’s small. That’s big. Very wrinkly.
It shouldn’t look like that.
Higher. Smaller. Tone it up. That’s horrible. Cover it up. Change it.
ENOUGH.

The theme of this work is the ongoing internal fight regarding if what I see in the mirror or if it is another misinterpreted image.
The incessant self-judgement that we put on our bodies makes us distort our self-concept.
This works also recalls the constant of dissatisfaction with how you feel or how your body looks.
It reaches a point where you do not even know if what you are seeing is real or if it is a product generated by your mind.

We combine how you would like to look, your biggest insecurities amplified to the max and your ‘real me’ which you have not to decode how it looks.

The development of kombucha leather that the stylist Sofia is exploring serves as a metaphor for ‘self-cannibalism’.

The self-judgement we apply on ourselves when talking about our physical appearance and the judgement we suffer from our surroundings can make individuals develop unhealthy behaviors that destroys us from the inside out.

The same as our mind and bodies, the kombucha leather can be easily damage without the right care and treatments.

The illness consumes us from the inside out, and we let it happen.
It is a form of self-cannibalism that destroys our bodies and our self-concept as individuals.

バルセロナを拠点に活躍するフォトグラファー。
エディトリアルやカタログ、キャンペーン、スチールライフなどあらゆるフォーマットのファッション写真を得意とし、情熱を注ぐ。
IEDバルセロナ・ファッション学院でファッション写真の講師も務め、現在は経験や伝統の重要性を証明し続けるために、リタイア間近の人々をアナログカメラで撮影するという個人的なプロジェクトに取り組んでいる。

A photographer based in Barcelona.
He specializes in and is passionate about fashion photography in any formats, such as editorial, catalog, campaign, and still life.
He is also teaching fashion photography at the IED Barcelona Fashion Institute.
He is currently working on a very personal project in which he portrays people in their professions about retire with an analog camera, in order to keep a testimony of the importance of experience and tradition.

Sofia Nuñez Gomez：
バルセロナをベースに活動するファッションデザイナー。
摂食障害や身体醜形症と向き合いながら、さまざまなサイズに対応するインクルーシブな洋服を見つけるのに苦労したという自身の経験を元に、制作を行う。
性別や体型に関係なく、衣服を通して自分自身をありのままに表現する力を与えることに使命感を持つ。
コンブチャレザーのようなバイオマテリアルを探究するなど、持続可能なファッションにも強い関心を抱いている。

A fashion designer based in Barcelona.
Her inspiration comes from her own experiences, particularly the struggle to find inclusive clothing for a variety of sizes while dealing with eating disorders and body dysmorphia.
Her mission is to empower individuals to express themselves authentically through clothing, irrespective of gender norms or body shape.
She’s also passionate about sustainable fashion, exploring biomaterials like kombucha leather.
